You know what other movie blew my socks off it was so bad it was good? Battleship. Specifically the aliens/their battlesuits because ffs. That was some sexy ass shit, it reminded me of like. All the badass armor suits from Mass Effect and Halo and pretty much every video game ever that has never quite crossed over into like films/tv/etc even though it should have because AWESOME? Yes. Awesome. And I don't think it was even meant to incite that kind of reaction so... idek what my point was but clearly there is a precedent. I have a history of enjoying shit I probably shouldn't on a purely visceral level.

So yeah. That just happened.

So, last week, while I was sick, I watched all 12 episodes of Teen Wolf because of one of swing_set13's usericons. (That's right, I was incepted by an icon.) I thought I'd watch maybe one or two episodes just to satisfy my curiosity but two days later I had inhaled them all.

Just.

Unnh. Why is this so so satisfying? I cannot for the life of me explain it, but to steal a phrase (I've been listening to the Slash Report a lot, lately), I'm just going to say it was really good for me. It was sooo good for me. Like, I kinda just hit a trance of werewolves, alpha, Stiles omg Stiles, hunters, pretty pretty Jackson, Dereeeeek, shirtless!Derek, tattooed!Derek, Danny perving over shirtless!tattooed!Derek, Stiles pimping shirtless!tattooed!Derek, vulnerable!scared!he's-totally-a-bottom-irl-isn't-he?-!Jackson, Lydia being so catty but at the same time smart and awesome, Sherriff Stiles being somewhat of a hotass, Daddy Argent being somewhat of a hotass, Jackson being such a bitch omg I love him, Scott's mom being all-around amazeballs, Scott being... meh, & Allison being so damned pretty omg her smile but yeah. Derek and the shirtlessness. God, yeah, I enjoyed that though I still think he wasn't hairy enough to be a werewolf.

And while I kinda worry that ( *spoilers*/speculation ) I am already kinda dying for it. *facepalm*

And so then I go online, right? To learn a little more about the actors (and ohhh my god does the kid who plays Jackson ever ping my gaydar) and I find out that Dylan O'Brien (Stiles Stilinski, for the curious) had a youtube account when he was a teenager (like, 4 years ago all my creys, I feel old) and end up coming across this gem:

The kid was like, a comedic genius. (It reminds me of the first time I saw Shia Labeouf on Even Stevens back in the day. It blew me away because young kids just generally do not have the ability to be so spot-on with the comedic timing and whatnot, but he did and it was absolutely amazeballs.)

And I'm sure everyone in this fandom has already seen it but still. I think, out of all of the cast, he really has it. That je ne sais quoi that explodes into pure brilliance whenever certain actors/comedians are onscreen. He's just incredibly entertaining to watch. o/

In other news, still haven't watched this week's Merlin. Or Grimm. Maybe this evening? I haven't slept at all and had buisness that needed doing at ass o'clock this morning so I am like ten seconds from falling the fuck out. Good bye cruel world. <3
